School Holidays Sorted: Keep the Kids Moving with the DPA Trampoline Challenge
Share
School holidays always arrive with the same question: how do we keep the kids entertained, active and happy without leaving the house every day? A Durable Products Australia trampoline makes holidays feel easy. It gives kids a place to move, burn energy, practise skills and enjoy the outdoors, all while staying close to home.
To help families get the most out of their trampoline this school break, we’ve created the DPA Trampoline Challenge — a set of fun, confidence building activities kids can try anytime. They’re simple, creative and perfect for real backyard play.
DPA Trampoline Challenge
1. Shapeshifter
Kids choose shapes to try mid air, like star, tuck or pencil. A parent can call out the shapes from the side, adding a surprise element that keeps them guessing. It’s also a lovely moment of connection. You can enjoy a hot coffee while cheering them on and watching their creativity unfold.
2. Strike a Pose
This one always gets giggles. Kids bounce three times as you count down: “Three… two… one… pose!” The challenge is to land in the most creative pose they can think of. Silly, dramatic or superhero style — anything goes.
3. Mouse & Kangaroo
Call out “mouse” or “kangaroo” and let the kids switch between soft, tiny bounces and big, energetic jumps. It’s a great way to help them explore control, rhythm and movement while keeping things playful.
4. Flamingo Balance
Kids stand tall on one leg with soft knees and hold their balance for a few seconds. For an extra challenge, someone else can bounce gently nearby to test their stability. It’s a simple way to build coordination and confidence, and kids love seeing how long they can hold their “flamingo”.
5. Hop, Hop, Freeze
Kids hop twice on one leg, then freeze on the third. The wobble as they try to stay still is always the best part. This challenge is easy to repeat and perfect for siblings who want to compete for the longest freeze.
